The FHA Board of Directors would like to discourage residents from using the FHA directory as a mechanism to advertise "for profit" products that they are selling. As you may know, many residents provide their email addresses as a courtesy so that neighbors can contact one another easily. However advertisements sent as "blast" emails may not be what residents had in mind when they made those email addresses available. A stranger may come to your door offering a service such as pressure washing the house, repaving the driveway, cutting down a tree, etc. If you need a homeowner service, it's best to ask your neighbors for a recommendation of a known and trustworthy person or to post a note requesting recommendations on the FHA website bulletin board.
