Brightspeed Update

Brightspeed has sent an email laying out their tentative five-week installation plan along the public roads of Fearrington Village – you can see a copy of it HERE. The email was sent on May 15 to Fred Morris, whom we thank for continuing to follow up with Brightspeed on behalf of the FHA and the Camden Park Service Group. According to the email, during “Week 1”, Brightspeed will continue work on Creekwood and Windstone and begin work on Beechmast; during “Week 2”, continue along Beechmast going west to Spindlewood and also down the public portions of Village Way;  during “Week 3”, along eastern Millcroft working west to Langdon, including public side roads; and during “Week 4”, the remainder of Millcroft and Weathersfield. There are maps in the email outlining these areas in more detail.

While the original email did not make clear when “Week 1” would begin, we were subsequently advised that it would be during the week of May 19. However, this advice turned out to be erroneous, and Brightspeed still has not commenced work. We will post updates here if and when we receive them.

A Brightspeed flyer addressed to Village residents can be found HERE. It contains additional useful information about the installation.

As a reminder, the current plans only cover public roads in the Village. Private roads owned by Service Groups are subject to additional procedures, and the Service Group leaders will be in touch with their residents about that.
