Concert Series – Heartland Baroque

There are five members in our group (2 baroque violins, baroque cello, baroque bassoon, and baroque guitar/theorbo), and we will probably add a singer this time again as well. It will be a program that includes narration also to help give context and to tell the story of the music again.  It will be a biographical program about Antonia Bembo, a well-known (in her time) Italian female baroque composer, with her music being featured, as well as music of her contemporaries that help to tell her life story. HIstorical documents such as letters, writings, and dedications from her, as well as similar texts from people in her life will enhance and inform the musical journey of her life for your audience. The program is titled, “My Daughter, the Singer.”
