Galloway Ridge Event: “Where the Buck Stops”

December 3 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Galloway Ridge Special Events Committee presents Clifton Truman Daniel in “Where the Buck Stops,” Sunday, December 3, 4-5 pm in Chapin Auditorium.

Clifton Truman Daniel, grandson of Harry S. Truman, brings his grandfather’s personal writings to life in a historical and humorous lecture. After leaving office, Harry Truman wrote his memoirs and a book about his post presidency, Mr. Citizen. He also wrote down his thoughts on leadership, the presidency, and the men who preceded him in office, but never published them. His daughter, Margaret Truman Daniel, compiled these writings into a book titled, Where the Buck Stops: The Personal and Private Writings of Harry S. Truman. Clifton Truman Daniel has taken chapters from this book and turned them into a lecture, which he performs in costume as his grandfather.

Join us for a unique and insightful look at the Truman family, the White House, and American history.
