Illustrated lecture by club member Dr. Marcia Herman-Giddens: “Genealogy Lessons Learned: the journey into my family’s slave owning past in across the South.” The research Marcia will describe forms the basis for her new book, Unloose My Heart, that the University of Alabama Press will debut in January 2023.
