28 Nov Fearrington Cares
When neighbors help neighbors, everyone benefits.
Fearrington Cares is a unique program created more than 30 years ago; our mission is to help residents of Fearrington Village live healthy and meaningful lives. We can do this with our small army of dedicated volunteers and our on-staff Registered Nurse, who provide support for those times when you need a bit (or a lot) of extra help and a caring smile. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and offer a range of services, information and referrals.
Donations, while appreciated, are not required to use our services.
Your support, as a volunteer and a donor, covers the costs.
For current information about our services and programs, please check our website at www.fearringtoncares.org.
We also invite you to visit the Center and feel free to call or email if we can be of assistance.

Please note that volunteers cannot move heavy furniture. Also, due to NC licensing regulations they cannot do work involving electrical, gas connections or major plumbing issues. The Vendor List on our website offers suggestions for individuals or companies who can manage these issues and major repairs.
TRANSPORTATION
Fearrington Cares volunteer drivers provide limited transportation within a 25-mile radius for medical appointments. To request a ride, please call the Center at least three days and no more than two weeks before your appointment. If no one answers the phone, leave a message that includes your name, phone number, the date and time you need to be picked up, the destination for your appointment, and the time for your return ride. A Volunteer Driver will contact you directly to make arrangements for your ride. Please be aware our volunteer drivers cannot provide same-day service or carry wheelchairs in their cars.
MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LOANS
Fearrington Cares can loan you equipment for medical needs. In addition, we maintain a list of other items that you can borrow from neighbors when you need a crib, high chair or other children’s equipment. When available, the following items can be checked out at no charge for short-term use after your surgery or during your rehabilitation:
