COVID Guidelines for Swim & Croquet

Only 41 people can be in the actual swimming pool at one time.

Social Distancing

No toys allowed.  You may bring your own noodle and kick board, but never share them, and take them home when you leave.

What you can do to help:

Board members thank you for your cooperation.  There may be differences of opinion about some of these restrictions.  Please bear with us as we open and share any concerns you may have.  We’ll listen, consider your input, and check with the appropriate individuals to see if a modification is in order.

Looking forward to seeing you at the pool!

A lot of this may change once again as we approach the end of phase 2 in about a month. So be prepared that loosening of these restrictions could happen quickly as we get into the summer.

One of the Largest and Most Active Groups in Fearrington

Centrally located, the perfect place to enjoy a variety of fun activities and time with family, friends and neighbors.

The pool includes a large open area, a smaller shallow area, and 3 lap lanes.

The spa, constructed in 2010, is beautiful and deep enough so that your shoulders can feel the jets which have excellent pressure.

In addition to the large pool, there is a wading pool to meet the needs of the increasing number of families with small children moving into Fearrington Village.

The manicured croquet court is open year round.

Also year round, enjoy a game of shuffle board, horse shoes, or ping pong.

We welcome the curious and the shy to venture onto the lawn and experience the excitement of a new challenge or the rekindling of an old passion.

Remember all those spirited games with your friends -- you can do this.  It is fun.  And no, you don’t have to wear white.

Croquet continues throughout the year.  Come out and give it a try.

Notify Jan Droke at to be added to the email list.

Guidelines for Covid 19 Group Croquet Effective October 7, 2020

Members should not play if they have a fever, persistent cough, or other symptom associated with Covid-19.

No more than four players are permitted to play in a group. Only two groups are allowed.

Players must maintain at least six feet of distance between them at all times (that’s about two mallet lengths). Masks are recommended.

Wash or sanitize your hands both before and after touching croquet equipment.  Players are encouraged to bring sanitizer with them.

Do not share mallets or other equipment during a game.

Spray equipment used with sanitizer when it is returned to the bin.

Young children, not yet toilet trained, are welcome in both the pools, but only if they wear swim diapers.

Children through the age of 14 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult member responsible for their safety and behavior.

Remember no lifeguards are on duty, so watch the kids to be sure they are safe.

Children come to the pool to have fun, but you are responsible to assure they respect others in the pool.

The wading pool is available for all the little ones. This pool is shallow enough to allow toddlers of all ages a place to splash and play.

For everyone’s safety, diving, running or pushing in the pool or on the deck is not allowed.

Swinging, hanging on or misuse of the lane dividers is also prohibited.

Children 14 and under can play on the croquet court only with an adult
