It’s the most magical time of the year for the Women of Fearrington. Part of the sparkle of the season is our annual Holiday Luncheon. Join us at Governors Club on December 10 at Noon for holiday cheer with a cash bar, followed by lunch at 12:30. The cost is $30.00 for Women of Fearrington members and $35.00 for non-member guests. Sharing the holiday spirit with one another is priceless. Go to Women of Fearrington online on the FHA website and click on forms for further information and a reservation form.
Think of a child leaping out of bed on Christmas morning and finding a wonderful toy. That child will never know that a WoF member gave it to Toys for Tots, who sent it to Santa to deliver. But you’ll know. Please remember to bring an unwrapped toy for a child up to the age of 10.
It’s a few short weeks before Christmas and all through the town
Women of Fearrington are dashing, prancing and running around
As they look, and peruse, and choose with great care
The perfect toy for a stranger, a small tot out there.
This child’s Christmas might be sad, and barren and bare
Without a woman from Fearrington to help and to care
As she brings an unwrapped gift to the Holiday Luncheon to come
Something just perfect for a tot between the ages ten and one.
The child won’t know what that woman has done
To make Christmas more merry and jolly and fun
But she’ll know – and Santa will, too, as he adds her name
To his list of the nicest people in his own hall of fame.
