12 Jun Siler City June 2014 Golf Tournament
The Fearrington Golf Club’s second tournament of the year was held at Siler City Golf Course on June 12, 2014. Thirty-two players joined in a fun day of golf on a day when the rain held off. The tournament chairpersons, Gene Rogers and Patrick Murphy organized the outing using a four person Step Aside Scramble format. The group enjoyed a continental breakfast, lunch and prizes along with golf. Thank You to Gene and Patrick !
A raffle to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Siler City was held, the winners received a US Open Golf Towel, Golf Balls and Tees.
The winning team of Gordon Barg, Tom Townsend, Tad McArdle and Larry Glickman shot an impressive 7 under par.
Mary Stuneck chipped in for an eagle on Hole number 18 which helped earn that team some prize money.
